Les Benjamins x Ara Güler – Wearable Impressions

A collection born out of deep admiration… Bünyamin Aydın’s meticulous and contemporary approach is combined with the historical depth of Ara Güler’s photography in Les Benjamins x Ara Güler capsule collection. In collaboration with Ara Güler Museum and Les Benjamins, a wearable homage is before us.

Turkey’s first museum dedicated to an internationally renowned photographer, the Ara Güler Museum is transforming into a capsule collection by coming together with Les Benjamins’ avant-garde urban approach. The collection is based on Les Benjamins founder and creative director Bünyamin Aydın’s deep admiration for Ara Güler and the impact of his work that is reflected on him.

‘Les Benjamins by Benji Inspired by Kumkapı Fishermen’ collection takes its inspiration from the iconic ‘Kumkapı Fishermen’ series and presents wearable pieces of art fused with streetwear codes. Sub-themes include ‘Pink Dream’ and ‘Catch the Fish’, with big and bold designs featuring Ara Güler’s own anotations. Traditional Turkish embroidery, modern and classical tailoring discipline blends and examples of high craftsmanship add an avant-garde and innovative touch to the collection.

The collection places the urban lifestyle and the constant state of movement that this life brings at its centre. The capsule collection, consisting of designs that pay homage the past and modernity by adopting a meticulous and contemporary approach is available at the Ara Güler Museum and selected Les Benjamins stores.
