Daniel Lee’s Burberry

This month, visitors to Harrods will notice that the historic London department store has changed significantly. The lighting is in Knight Blue as part of a special collaboration with British heritage brand Burberry.

Burberry’s creative director, Daniel Lee, introduced the striking blue hue as the fashion house’s signature shade in 2023, lighting up the exterior of the building. The Knightsbridge department store is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a special takeover that honors Burberry.

Some 40 garments and objects, spanning womenswear, menswear and accessories, are on show inside the department store, with a ‘Camping Corner’ set up with a large tent-like space to showcase outdoor accessories ranging from bottle openers to Kendal Mint Cakes.

The ‘Picnic’ area has a Burberry food truck, serving British favourites such as pasties and how tea, with a special Harrods hamper. Despite Harrods’ famous green doormen’s choice to use ‘Knight Blue’, they are now clad in uniforms made of a new plaid from Burberry.
