The tempo of the city, the style of the streets, the sounds rising from the city; all of them are a part of Istanbul. Beymen Club invites you to immerse yourself in the flow of the city this season. Emir Elidemir, one of those who found himself while trying to escape the city, told us about his style and Istanbul.
What does fashion mean to you?
For me, fashion means standing out from the ordinary. Showing off your personal stye.
How would you describe your personal style?
When I was little, I used to spend my summers with my uncle in America. That’s when I realized I preferred oversized and comfortable styles more. I also follow fashion brands that I find contradictory and adapt them to my own style.
How does it make you feel to be on the street?
Wandering around the streets is like meditation for me. While walking through crowded streets, I feel as if I am getting lost in society and becoming a part of the whole. That’s why I love going for long walks.
What happens when you immerse yourself in the rhythm of the city?
Istanbul is a fast city. There are so many events happening. I can find myself wandering from place to place during the day. That’s why I try to spend more time in the office.

A well-known misconception about Istanbul?
I do not believe when they say falsely known facts or vice versa. There are facts; and anyone living in Istanbul or spends time here, faces these facts at one point or another.
A movie that best describes Istanbul?
Istanbul is such a special city that it is very difficult for a single film to describe it. But Duvara Karşı and Eşkıya would be great examples.

Where do you get your inspiration for new flavor discoveries?
I always try to go to new restaurants. From the corner fast food kiosk to a fine dining restaurant, I try different tastes. You can find something you can grab from each kitchen.
