At Milan Fashion Week, Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo once again subverted the rules of fashion in an attempt to “present simplicity in its most complex garments.

Sunnei let the models’ thoughts speak for themselves and made them the soundtrack of the show.

Silently, without a thought in the world, we watch the models strut earnestly as they put one foot in front of the other and present to the world clothes that have never been worn before. “I wonder if they are comfortable in those dizzying heels on which they balance so precariously. I wonder how much they are paid for this few minutes’ walk. Are they cold? Do they even like what they are wearing?  What a beauty that model is, I wish I was as tall as she is”. But what are the models thinking about in those two minutes when they are parading in front of hundreds of people?  Sunnei’s fashion show at Milan Fashion Week Fall Winter 2024 was the first occasion to interrupt this flow of thoughts generated by our glances at the models, to let them speak and say everything, even stupid things. 

Models walk the runway on a vibrant carpet of reds, yellows, greens and blues.

Thirty-one unique looks for thirty-one unique personalities. Volume is the unifying factor throughout. Exaggerated silhouettes, from the most puffy puffer coat to the largest beanie, provide a sense of fullness.The collection’s garments are actually made from the same rug material, the Farfallabag or Koaladress.The aforementioned point is proven by this season’s accessories, pops of spiky, vibrant neon, be it necklaces, earrings or bags.

The house also hinted at a second collaboration to be released in June this year with the Majorcan brand Camper.
