Place Jacquemus

We are in full spate to the fashion weeks that AW 19-20 collections are presented. Next stop; Paris… And there is Jacquemus for the grand opening! Simon Porte Jacquemus created a tiny lovely town called as ‘Place Jacquemus’ in the Paris Event Center for the show, and we were all invited to his dreamland!

The thing that we couldn’t miss on the runway was, Simon not giving up on the rainbow colors as a ‘summer person’. There was a wider color palette in the collection named as ‘La Collectionneuse’, despite of all the designers that we watched lately. Stylings are done by touch of colorful accessorizes on monochrome looks or combination of harmonized colors. The white head to toe gerbera embedded white look revealed a total different attitude. The way that selection of flowing fabrics creates oversized forms, are created with leather materials. Jacquemus who is always on our radar with his fascinating accessorize designs, gave a place to giant earrings and cylindrical formed heels in this collection. But the star accessorizes on the runway were the BAGS. While parachute bags provide different usages as should bag or a fanny pack, XXL sized bags were dashy. But, the XXXS La Chiquito… Aw, it stole our hearts! Models on the runway with no make-up looks and effortless hair styles were the best representation of natural Jacquemus woman silhouette.

The way he creates elegant looks with different designs is always in the spotlights, and it seems like he would like to target the ones never give up on dark colors on winter days with this rainbow collection. There couldn’t be a better way to start the Paris Fashion Week, glad to have you Jacquemus!
