Paradox of Marriage

Paradox of Marriage

A woman in Turkey must be a woman in every sense of the word… This is the country where women are exposed to the world too soon, facing strife and learning to defend themselves in childhood. We grow up with the constant expectation and pressure of being a good wife and mother. Paradox of Marriage is a story that came about to defend ourselves against this expectation. While fighting for male and female equality I realized that these expectations, developed at the helm of childhood, turned into an inevitable maelstrom over time. Men and women are having a hard time living together unable to exist outside their gender roles and incapable of truly understanding each other.

This story substantiates what it means to expect different perspectives and dreams to come together in one mirthful union. Perhaps it is like life itself.
