Let All Have Hope…

Lana Del Rey just released the emotional anthem of 2019 from the bottom of her heart. It feels more honest, more her, than ever before, peaking with the heart-hurtingly from the line; “don’t ask if I’m happy / You know that I’m not / But at best I can say I’m not sad”…

Lana Del Rey talks about the American poet and author Sylvia Plath who died by suicide in 1963. Plath is known for her stark, acidic, confessional oeuvre that spanned themes of death, power, American madness, femininity and the patriarchy. A song for female empowernment.

“hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have, but i have it” is the third single from her upcoming sixth studio album, produced by Jack Antonoff.
