Changing The Rules: Nadine Frackowski

A journey, will never stop, life must continue within creativity.

The world is face to face with a creative who pays attention to the glove and questions everything about it and her name is Nadine Frackowski. Her work represents images, viewer can be captured and wonder for a long time. We had a conversation on what excites the the creative nowadays.

How did your journey with art transformed you as a human?

I’d rather say it accompanied me as a human in an omnipresent yet unconscious way and it is not going to stop anytime soon.

Without night we would all be really really tan and we can’t have that.

What is the one memory that inspired you to create?

Paying attention to the world and questioning everything about it.

There are rules, I just make them for myself and I am able to change them whenever it makes sense to me.

What are you curious about?

I am curious about anything I don’t know yet and all places I haven’t been yet.

What are you trying to tell with your stories?

It would be great if my stories/images captured the viewer for a little moment and made them wonder.

If you could describe your work with one word what would it be?

Close.

You are creating your own freedom within your work. What is the importance of having no rules while creating?

There are rules, I just make them for myself and I am able to change them whenever it makes sense to me. That’s the freedom than I suppose.

How would you define photography?

Photography is a way of seeing (perceiving) the world.

I like to think of photography as weapon. Photography as weapon reveals the hidden and unexpected in a person , in the truth of a moment, within a cultural context or in any daily life situation. To make the viewer rethink their perception of (a preconceived) reality.

“The camera makes everyone a tourist in other people’s reality, and eventually in one’s own.”

—  Susan Sontag

How would you describe being unique?

No DNA is the same. that makes everyone unique.

What is liberation for you?

World peace

What attracts you with the word “night” ?

Sleep

How would you define night?

The time when most people sleep, but also get drunk, have sex, have parties, playing video games, finishing last minute work, and really not sleep. Not much different from daytime, people wise. The best part of a 24 hour day. Without night we would all be really really tan and we can’t have that.

What is future look like for you?

To constantly keep moving.
