An era of scandal, war and disco! Viethnam war and the Watergate scandal in Washington was the end of innocance in the 70s. And yet the polular culture was at a rise… From box office films to tv shows. And then the fever of disco started to burn! Within all these michavios events there was one item which stand out for mens fashion.

In the 1970s, fashion was all about individuality and expression. As such, many traditional fashion rules were broken and unique and androgynous looks reigned supreme. Key styles for the decade included hippie, peacock revolution, glam rock and disco looks. Thanks to an influx of cheap clothing in the market, gents could easily showcase which group they belonged to or switch between them all.

When it comes to men’s pants, chinos are undoubtedly an essential style. As versatile as they are fashionable, Not only are they ideal for casual looks, but they can also work with smart ensembles, making them a fantastic item to own. From the time of 70’s Gant introduced the idea of perfect Chino.

Chinos refer to the particular style of trouser popularised by an American military origin. Soldiers wore uniforms boasting a predominant cotton composition, generally skimming the body. Chinos are thus the product of such military wear. Less formal than dress pants and more dressy than a casual jean. A quintessential piece of modern American Sportswear. Chinos are practical, comfortable, and democratic. Oh and everyone looks good in chinos.
