Babylon Presents Hindi Zahra

Music found a new address for itself in Istanbul in 1999! We’re talking about Babylon, that’s for sure. To carry the music, appealing to Babylon community for long years, outside of Babylon walls: Babylon Presents!

Babylon hosted music and music lovers at various venues with its Babylon Presents series, held for the first time last year, and it will take the music and the community outside of Istanbul this time. Babylon spirit will spread to 3 different cities this season and Babylon team plans on extending to 8 cities in Anatolia in the near future. Can Yıldızlı, Marketing & Media Director at Babylon tells about this journey as follows: “Babylon has created its unique style of entertainment thanks to its ever-growing community since the day it was opened 16 years ago as a venue that gathered music lovers. We’re meeting the music lovers at our own venue to extend our community but our main goal has certainly been to bring the musicians, who are close to Babylon spirit and musical roots, together with more people at larger venues. Along with this passion we have, we decided on holding concert series that will enable us to meet our community at different venues.” Jack White, Parov Stelar Band, Big Youth, Sattas Reggae Band and Oi Va Voi took the stage as part of Babylon Presents series in the last season. Hindi Zahra, who interprets the world music and jazz in her sui generis style, welcomed warmly at her last Babylon gig, will be the first guest of this season’s Babylon Presents series… Blending the world music with jazz, the young musician makes her music richer using original local instruments. Hindi Zahra will take the stage in Ankara and Izmir besides Istanbul as part of Babylon Presents tour. The first of the concerts will take place at Istanbul Volkswagen Arena on 17 October and the series will go on with Ankara Hayal Kahvesi, 18 October and Izmir Arena, 20 October concerts.
